ADDED ON JUNE 29, 2023: The Department of Energy has issued a funding opportunity to expand the number of low-income and disadvantaged communities primed for distributed solar investment—enabling millions of low-income households to access affordable, resilient, and clean solar energy. $7 BILLION is being made available under this opportunity with maximum awards of $400,000,000 and minimum awards of $25,000,000. ADDED ON JUNE 28, 2023: The Department of Energy has issued a funding opportunity to perform deep energy retrofits of low-income residential buildings and empower local community representation within the energy workforce. $25,000,000 is being made available under this opportunity with maximum awards of $2,000,000 and minimum awards of $500,000.
