ADDED ON JUNE 2, 2023: The Administration for Children and Families has issued a funding opportunity to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of field-initiated approaches to addressing racial bias and inequity in child welfare; and improving the safety, stability, and well-being of families in traditionally underserved communities. $4,000,000 is being made available under this opportunity with maximum awards of $500,000. ADDED ON MAY 31, 2023: The Administration for Children and Families has issued a funding opportunity to: 1) Identify young people at risk of experiencing homelessness; 2) Design and develop a comprehensive community prevention plan to prevent youth homeless; 3) Implement the robust, holistic services plan to respond to the diverse needs of youth who may be at risk of homelessness and their families. $1.75 million has been set-aside for this funding opportunity with maximum awards of $350,000. ADDED ON MAY 19, 2023: The Administration for Children and Families has issued a funding forecast to support access to child support-led employment services for noncustodial parents. State governments and tribal governments are eligible to apply. Approximately $4.5 million will be made available under this opportunity with maximum awards of $588,000. ADDED ON APRIL 22, 2023: The Administration for Children and Families has issued a funding opportunity to provide street-based services to runaway, homeless, and street youth who have been subjected to or are at risk of being subjected to sexual abuse, prostitution, sexual exploitation, and severe forms of human trafficking in persons.  These services, targeted in areas where street youth congregate, are designed to assist such youth in making healthy choices and providing them access to shelter as well as basic needs, including food, hygiene packages and information on a range of available services. ADDED ON APRIL 10, 2023: The Administration for Children and Families has issued a funding opportunity to generate evidence for how best to effectively implement child welfare practices and ongoing active efforts to maintain AI/AN families by funding state and tribal partnerships to jointly design and operate Indian child welfare best practice implementation demonstration sites. ADDED ON MARCH 20, 2023: The Administration for Children and Families has issued a funding opportunity for its Basic Centers Program which provides temporary shelter and counseling services to youth who have left home without permission of their parents or guardians, have been forced to leave home, or other homeless youth who might otherwise end up in the law enforcement or in the child welfare, mental health, or juvenile justice systems. ADDED ON MARCH 20, 2023: The Administration for Children and Families has posted a funding opportunity to provide tribes and tribal consortia the opportunity to compete for grants to enable tribal courts to design and implement projects and/or activities to assess, expand, or enhance the effectiveness of tribal courts and/or legal representation in cases related to child welfare, family preservation, family reunification, guardianship, and adoption. In doing this work, grantees are required to engage in and demonstrate “meaningful, ongoing collaboration” with the tribal social service agencies. $943,000 will be made available under this opportunity with maximum awards of $150,000 and minimum awards of $50,000. ADDED ON JANUARY 7, 2023: ACF has issued a funding opportunity to directly fund organizations that will build, expand, and sustain organizational and community capacity to deliver services to Native American adults and minors who have experienced a severe form of human trafficking as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, through the provision of direct services, assistance, and referrals. $1,000,000 is being made available under this opportunity with maximum awards of about $330,000.
