ADDED ON APRIL 24, 2024: HUD has issued a funding opportunity to support the costs of administrative and judicial receiverships and for competitive grants to PHAs in receivership, designated troubled or substandard, or otherwise at risk, as determined by the Secretary, for costs associated with public housing asset improvement, in addition to other amounts for that purpose provided under any heading under this title. ADDED ON APRIL 10, 2024: HUD has issued a funding opportunity to support the development of a comprehensive plan to revitalize severely distressed public housing and/or HUD-assisted housing and the surrounding neighborhood. Using these grant funds, communities will undertake certain activities that lead to the creation of a comprehensive neighborhood revitalization strategy, or Transformation Plan. The Transformation Plan will become the guiding document to carryout subsequent implementation of the plan to achieve the program’s three core goals: Housing, People and Neighborhood – redevelop the target housing while simultaneously directing the transformation of the surrounding neighborhood and positive outcomes for families. $10,000,0000 is being made available under this funding opportunity with maximum awards of $500,000. ADDED ON FEBRUARY 29, 2024: HUD has issued a funding opportunity to preserve and revitalize manufactured housing and eligible manufactured housing communities. $225 million is being made available for this funding opportunity with $20 million set aside for Tribal Housing Entities. ADDED ON FEBRUARY 21, 2024: Housing and Urban Development has issued a funding opportunity to support the development of supportive rental housing for Very-Low-Income persons aged 62 years or older and project rental subsidies in the form of a Project Rental Assistance Contract (PRAC) to maintain ongoing affordability. $115 million is being made available under this opportunity with maximum awards of $20,000,000.
